We tried this place on a Thursday close to opening time. It was the perfect time as I hear it can get pretty busy. Everything we ordered was simply delicious. My daughter got the beef ramen and I got the curry ramen both broths were amazing. The flavor was on point! I would definitely eat there again.

My goddaughter saw a viral video of some of the best spots to eat in Little Tokyo close to the stadium. Mr. Ramen was on the list and wow. I'll be back. We came in as a family of 6 after a Dodgers game. This review is a shout out to another Yelper Monica M. It was her review that I had to try the ramen + fried rice combo. She recommended the regular size ramen bc it was "just right" and that she orders it with miso broth. Monica did not disappoint. I second that order!! Everyone ordered different but I think mine was the best. My miso base was memorable. And the fried rice? Omygosh. Delish and I'm picky about my rice. Service was excellent but the establishment does get busy and it's not surprising. The ambiance is clean and artsy. Highly recommend Mr. Ramen when you're in town!

Came here after a dodgers game/ohtani homer the night before for the 'ohtani 17' bowls. This means, the first 17 customers through the doors get the ramen for half off. The only ramen that are Half-off are the cold ones - one pork variation or vegetarian variation. I got the pork. For a cold ramen it was good! You can get it miso or ponzu style, I got the miso. The ramen and toppings are indeeed, COLD ! but taste great. The cucumber is bright and refreshing, and the noodles are chewy and big. This is a great dish for a hot summer day. Decor is old-school Japanese restaurant with attentive servers. They take credit card and you can pay directly at the table.

I was thoroughly impressed! The Shio ramen was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the gyoza was simply delicious. The service was excellent, and I was pleased with the beer and sake selection. Definitely a must-visit spot for ramen enthusiasts!

The fantastic artwork on the walls add an authentic vibe to the whole experience. I found myself constantly looking around and just loving being there. The dining area is relatively small, but nice. The place is said to be a "legacy" restaurant, having been passed down a family generation. There are many Ramen places in this area and I feel like each one has different aspects to offer. Mr. Ramen's contribution is a solid, simple bowl of ramen backed up by a steadfast history of thriving (or attempting) to thrive in this difficult economic world. It's a special experience in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The food is good. Large bowls, smooth savory broth, chewy noodles and tender meat. The egg on my Tonkatsu was seasoned goodness. Enjoyable food with a welcome price point especially considering the area. Go and support!

GREAT FOOD, EVEN BETTER SERVICE, AND THE BEST LEMONADE I THINK I'VE EVER HAD ! My first time here, and definitely will not be my last! My coworkers and I met up for dinner, and whew, the parking is INTENSE. Food: 5/5 I ordered the bento box, spicy edamame, and lemonade. Literally all 3 were great. The spicy edamame was better than most, but the lemonade was absolutely phenomenal. Like, they make it in a shaker, and definitely different than any other place I've gotten lemonade from. The fried chicken box was so good, the salad is a little boring (I LOVE salad) it didn't have enough dressing, or idk totally missing something. Price: 4/5 Bento box: $18.00 Edamame: $ 7.50 Lemonade: $ 2.50 Honestly, everything was affordable, and worth it. All around: 5/5 If you can get past the parking, it's totally worth going to! As soon as we got there, it turned into a 50 min wait! So- be careful! Haha. Again, totally worth the wait!

I really loved Mr Ramen so the poor ratings really confuse me!!!! I recommend the cold noodles that come with sprouts, chicken curry katsu, and any of the ramen. I came back here 2 more times after the first during my trip to California because the first impression was just so heartwarming and pleasant. I didn't have a wallet after having my cards and license stolen, but the owner was kind enough to offer a bowl of ramen on the house. Talk about outstanding customer service!!! Also, the art on the wall hand drawn by various customers is so alluring and interesting. You can definitely end up staring at them for all of your wait time as the food gets ready. It truly feels like a piece of Japan in the always evolving and ever changing Little Tokyo. I haven't been to this part of town in 7 years, but I now know where I wish to come back to once my cousins make a trip to the states!!!!

The service at this restaurant was phenomenal and we walked in late! Definitely appreciate the late hours they stay open. Our server was all smiles and very attentive. They give you the option of small, regular, or large for ramen; regular is quite generous. The ambiance was very casual and this place is fabulous for groups. I would return!

Mr. Ramen is tried and true! They are a small authentic ramen joint that has been around 30 (?) years -- which really just ages me; 30 yrs and change ago I was in high school! My mom turned me on to this place and as it would happen at this most recent visit I was here with my mom and kids for a day of chill fun in Little Tokyo. We'd had a busy morning and were hankering for something, good, hot, and tasty -- ramen it is! Each of us has their preferences: I went for ramen with fried rice combo -- get the regular size ramen as it is "just right" enough. I got the miso broth - always tasty. My son and daughter have kids' palates - so their dishes were as "plain" as can be but they enjoyed every bit of their ramen with slurpy gusto! What I really like about Mr. Ramen - aside from the food -- is that they have their tradition of encouraging "napkin art." Picture waiting for your dish to arrive and doodling on a napkin...waitstaff began featuring / hanging the napkin art on their walls and they now have (several?) albums of customer art. Up through May, you can come in, enjoy a bowl of ramen and for 1.00 buy a special paper to doodle away and submit for a potential prize. I love that Mr. Ramen loves its customers!
